About me

My work has been influenced by my life-long passion for art in its many visual forms. From as early as I can remember, I was drawing along with my brothers and sister. Being the youngest, I was always striving to be as good or better than them and have carried this drive throughout my career. Whether it’s through a physical form, digital tool or applying new and different techniques, I want to create a visual that will simply make someone say “that’s cool!”

One of my childhood inspirations was Norman Rockwell, I loved how his illustrations of people made me think “what's going on here”. I want to create a similar feeling for people, whether it’s through a facial expression or body language on a sculpture, or a certain typeface on a logo, or even the simple pressure of a pencil stroke in a sketch - the visual representation can be powerful, if done right.

I have honed my skills through working with creative talents, such as Todd McFarlane, where I have learned from him the importance of giving people something new or different to enjoy. I like the quote attributed to Steve Jobs, “artists lead and hacks ask for a show of hands”. Without creative minds, there is no innovation.

Throughout my career I’ve had the privilege of not only directing some very talented and knowledgeable artists but I’ve also learned from them too. Every project is an opportunity to learn and grow. I’m experienced working with licensed brands, and licensors from the entertainment, comic book, major league sports and video gaming industries. The more you can understand the needs of the consumers and customers on a project, the faster you can get to the finish line.

If you think I’m a good fit for your next creative challenge, or if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
